  4. General
  5. If you are like me you have directories full of icons, BMP's, waves and 
  6. midi's occupying hard disk space on your system. The three programs BMP 
  7. Cleaner, Icon Cleaner and Wave & Midi Cleaner can help you keep things 
  8. better organized and help keep the "junk cleaned up".
  9.  
  10. Setup
  11. 1. Copy the file THREED.VBX (supplied) to your Windows\System directory. 
  12. This will allow the programs to find it when they are run.
  13.  
  14. 2. Make sure you have a copy of VBRUN300.DLL in your Windows\System 
  15. directory. All three programs were written in VB 3.0 and require this file 
  16. to run. I have not supplied this file due to its size. A copy can be 
  17. downloaded from most bulletin boards.
  18.  
  19. 3. Copy the three program files ICONCLEN.EXE, BMPCLEN.EXE and WAVCLEN.EXE 
  20. to the directory or directories of your choice.
  21.  
  22. 4. Install the three programs in the Program Manager Group of your choice. 
  23. Refer to the Windows Manual for details.

  25. 5. Double click the program icons to start each program.

  27. Program Operations
  28. ICONCLEN.EXE - This program allows you to view icon files one at a time 
  29. (*.ico), but in addition it allows you to copy, delete and move files as you 
  30. are viewing them. A special feature allows you to save any icon as a BMP file 
  31. if you desire. The program will accept a command line, therefore, you may 
  32. associate it with the *.ico extension in File Manager if you wish.
  33.  
  34. BMPCLEN.EXE - This program allows you to view BMP files one at a time, and 
  35. you may also copy, delete and move files as you view them. You can view the 
  36. files in a scrollable window or full screen with a limit based on your 
  37. screen resolution. An additional feature allows you to make the BMP file 
  38. you are viewing your present wallpaper. Note that the operation copies the 
  39. file to your Windows directory if appropriate. This feature is only 
  40. available for Windows 3.1 or greater Version. Note that this program also 
  41. accepts a command line and can be Associated in File Manager.

  43. WAVCLEN.EXE - This program allows you to listen to Wave and Midi files, and 
  44. copy, delete and move files while you listen. You must have MultiMedia Sound 
  45. of some kind along with appropriate drivers installed in Windows to use this 
  46. program.

  48. Warranties
  49. The author (me) assumes no liability for any loss you may associate with the 
  50. use of these programs. I have tested the programs on my computer and have 
  51. experienced no problems, however I do not know what your system is like. If 
  52. you have a particular problem or question you can contact me on Compuserve 
  53. ( see info below). I will be glad to try to help.
